
Kris Correira is a physician assistant and educator. A PA since 1993, she works in primary care and spent many years in emergency medicine. She has been teaching for over 30 years in both secondary and higher education. While starting in the classroom, she was an early adopter of online education when it first became available in the mid 2000s. Dr. Correira enjoys engaging students in active learning.
Dr. Correira holds a Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from MCPHS University in the Educational Leadership track. She studied to become a PA at Northeastern University where she also earned a Master of Health Professions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Computer Science from Wellesley College and Master of Health Professions from Northeastern University, as well as a Master of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Bioethics from Holy Apostles College and Seminary.
She is certified by the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Healthcare Bioethics. a member of the Catholic Medical Association, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is also the founding president of the Catholic Advanced Practice Provider Association.
Dr. Correira is married and homeschooled her three sons.
